About Us
A Personal Journey That Became a Purpose
We provide reliable guidance to students who wish to study at German public universities and build their professional career in Germany.

“Because the right information can change the direction of your future.”
Our Story
The Beginning
Studium in Germany began with a personal experience. When I first started exploring opportunities for higher education abroad, I was told that studying at a German public university required C1-level German proficiency. I was also advised that English-taught programmes were available only at private universities.
At the time, I trusted the information I received. But something made me look further. As I began researching the German higher education system myself, I discovered a very different reality. German public universities do offer English-taught programmes, including options with no tuition fees. Learning German is valuable, but it is not always a prerequisite for studying in Germany. The requirements depend on the university and the programme.
Academic Journey
That discovery changed the way I looked at my future.
I went on to pursue my Master's degree in Germany after completing my undergraduate studies at the University of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka. Over the past eight years of living in Germany, I have experienced the country's education system, adapted to life in a new country, and built my academic career. Today, my experience as a lecturer at a German public university gives me an additional perspective on the academic environment and the opportunities available to international students.
Challenges and Discovery
Looking back, I often think about how different my decisions might have been if I had never questioned the information I was given. I also think about the many students in Sri Lanka who may have similar ambitions but are held back by incomplete information, misconceptions, or uncertainty about where to begin.
That is why I started Studium in Germany.
Founding Purpose
I wanted to help other Sri Lankan students discover the opportunities that I had discovered for myself, understand their eligibility, and make informed decisions about their academic future. I believe that students should have access to accurate information before deciding where and how to pursue their education.
Through Studium in Germany, we provide personalised guidance on exploring English-taught programmes at German public universities, understanding admission requirements, preparing applications, and navigating the student visa process. We also help students prepare for the practical realities of moving to and settling in Germany.
Our purpose is not simply to help students gain admission. It is to help them see the possibilities, understand the process, and take their next steps with confidence. Because sometimes, the right information can change the direction of your future.
And that is the purpose behind Studium in Germany.
